About

I’m Fred Mameri. A software engineer, entrepreneur, pragmatist.

I am a minimalist: something is not done until there’s nothing else that can be removed. Complexity introduces distractions which take away from the essence of a solution. Every problem has a level of complexity which is inherent to it (essential complexity), and therefore cannot be avoided. But that complexity which is purely the byproduct of the lack of engineering rigor and discipline (accidental complexity) is inexcusable.

I do not believe that engineering should be a race to the bottom. I believe in quality, in delivering a premium experience, and in leaving one’s mark in the edifice of time.

Some of my passions include: math, computers, wine, food, art.
